The Evidence was an American television series that debuted on 22 March 2006; a police procedural drama produced by John Wells and starring Rob Estes, Orlando Jones, and Martin Landau.
Summary
The Evidence was a character-driven detective series revolving around Inspectors Sean Cole (Rob Estes) and Cayman Bishop (Orlando Jones), two long-time partners and best friends in the San Francisco Police Department. The crucial evidence of every case is presented at the outset of the story; all of the pieces to the puzzle will be known by viewers from the beginning. The question is how does it all fit together.
As Inspectors Bishop and Cole unravel the mysteries set before them, and Dr. Sol Goldman (Landau) lends his scientific expertise, they discover the evidence presented at the beginning, and will find that the crime, like the evidence itself, is never what it seems.
The Evidence starred Orlando Jones (The Replacements) as Inspector Cayman Bishop, Rob Estes (Melrose Place) as Inspector Sean Cole, Academy Award-winner Martin Landau (Ed Wood) as Dr. Sol Goldman and Anita Briem (La Monja) as Emily Stevens.
Created and executive-produced by Sam Baum and Dustin Thomason, The Evidence is a John Wells Production in association with Warner Bros. Television.
The show's pilot episode premiered on Wednesday, 22 March 2006 at 10 p.m. on the ABC television network, it aired in that spot for four weeks but suffered from poor ratings and was not renewed for the fall season, the remaining episodes were aired on Saturdays 10/9c on ABC during June and July of 2006
