== About the list... ==

I've just did a comment about that. I'm glad you are adding the nominees. I think is important since the Grammy articles do not include them. If you need help, ask me. [[User:Jaespinoza|Jaespinoza]] ([[User talk:Jaespinoza|talk]]) 18:14, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

Revision as of 18:14, 2 February 2010

I have nominated List of awards and nominations received by Fiona Apple for featured list removal here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets the featured list criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks; editors may declare to "Keep" or "Remove" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here.

Hi. I see that you've added a very detailed synopsis, but you haven't provided a reference saying where it comes from. Is it, perhaps, copied directly from the opera's programme? If so, it could be a breach of copyright, and you'd be well advised to paraphrase it and give a credit to the author, or to the programme. If you have permission from the copyright owner to copy it, that's OK, but you'll need to go through WP's procedures. Apologies if you knew all this already. Best. --GuillaumeTell 17:44, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message. It think it would be better if you could rewrite the synopsis (maybe shortening it a bit) and putting in a ref saying something like "This synopsis is based on the one by D. Kramer in the programme for the premiere performances". Incidentally, I read through it and noticed quite a few errors - spelling and grammar - so by all means make your corrections before paraphrasing it. Actually, I wondered if it was translated from French! I'm moving the premiere stuff up to the top of the article and may make a few more adjustments - feel free to complain if you don't like what I've done. --GuillaumeTell 18:02, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hot outside, so stay inside working on the Oregon COTW!

Hello to WikiProject Oregon folks, and get ready for another Collaboration Of The Week. Thank you to those who worked on the land fraud scandal and Mr. Wicks. This week we have one by request, Central Oregon, and a gnomish task, the Great Infobox Drive of '09. For the infobox drive, just find some articles without infoboxes and add one. People and companies are two prime areas as many do not have infoboxes, yet infoboxes exist for those areas. Again, click here to opt out of these messages, or click here to make a suggestion for a future COTW. Aboutmovies (talk) 07:54, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to nominate this for GA, I think it's an interesting topic and would do a review. Hekerui (talk) 23:52, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back, Mr. COTW

Howdy after a long message absence to those of WikiProject Oregon. To answer a common question, no you did not get removed from the COTW notification list, I was just too busy to send out the notification for the last change. So, thank you to all those who helped improve Central Oregon and Mount Jefferson, as well as those who added infoboxes and adopted a governor. For this edition of the COTW, we have partly by request and in honor of the return of college football, Duck football and Beaver football. If you are a fan of neither, maybe go back and work on a governor or add infoboxes this time around. As always, click here to opt out of these messages, or click here to make a suggestion for a future COTW. Aboutmovies (talk) 06:31, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Project Runway FL

General rule would be to wait a short time (give it at least a couple of review cycles) before re-nominating. Go over it with a fine-tooth comb, make sure there's nothing you've missed. Maybe ask someone from WP:TV to take a look, or ask for a peer review before re-nominating. KV5 (TalkPhils) 16:02, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Huh, I thought it'd won. I didn't take a closer look. I don't see why any color or symbols are needed; the list already says who got 1st, 2nd, 3rd, so why emphasize it more? And, likewise, the only time a footnote is required already has a symbol, it doesn't need special color either. --Golbez (talk) 16:02, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Poses (album)

The article Poses (album) you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. Hello WikiProject Oregon member, and seasons greetings. Or, in the eloquent words of some marketing manager for another now defunct Oregon chain, Merry Christmas from PayLess... Merry Chriiiistmaaaasssss!!!

Now that pleasantries have been exchanged, thank you to those who worked on the last two collaborations, the Semi-annual Great Oregon Picture Drive, and Oregon Country Fair and Geoff Petrie. For this edition of the COTW we have Gambling in Oregon and NRHP in Washington County. Cannabis in California, 2010 initiatives

The page seems to be a stub, a mess, and started up and abandoned in October. Much has happened since, of course, and is there someone who knows the subject well enough to fix the page, make it readable, and retitle it? Thanks. Aleister Wilson (talk) 20:52, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't realize the listing of the politicians was so new. Well done! I won't dabble into it any more than I've done for now. I tried to find unlinked publications and publishers, but you've caught almost all of them. Happy Solstice, Festivus, and Christmas, and I must retire to my porch to join ole Abe. Aleister Wilson (talk) 21:34, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Good to meet you. Quick work on the California page. I would assume as the initiative nears that people will search Wikipedia for data concerning it, its history, and activities. The Oregon page looks very good, and I'll read it soon. As a side note, I tried to find out months ago if the Lincoln bible Obama used at the swearing-in was made from hemp, couldn't find the data. Enjoy, Aleister Wilson (talk) 21:45, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

One last time for 2009

Happy New Year to you, you WikiProject Oregon member! Tis the season for one last Collaboration Of The Week to get started this year. Thank you to those who worked on Gambling in Oregon and NRHP in Washington County the last few weeks. For the final COTW of 2009, we have Archiving Article Talk Pages and Mr. Standard TV & Appliance, Bill Schonely. For the archiving, we have a lot of old, stale comments on article talk pages from before 2009 that should be archived away, so that new comments are not added to things that either were addressed or not worth addressing. Just Out, COTW does well in new decade

Howdy WikiProject Oregon folks, time again for the latest installment of As the Collaboration Of The Week Turns. Last week was one of the more successful COTWs in recent memory as we really worked hard as a community to improve Concordia University and Berry Botanic Garden. Both are now at least C class articles and nicely illustrated (thanks to Tedder, Finetooth, and Ipoellet). Plus it really was a group effort as we had five different WPORE editors work on the garden and ditto with the school, with some overlap between the two.

Anyway, this week, we have by request the completely unrelated Just Out and Terrell Brandon. As always, click here to opt out of these messages, or click here to make a suggestion for a future COTW.
