Speedy deletion of :Satoko Yamano (seiyu)
A tag has been placed on :Satoko Yamano (seiyu) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding <code>hangon</code> to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. <span style="font-family: Lucida Handwriting"><font color="#02D3DA">Che</font><font color="#00C4CB">tbl</font><font color="#00A7AD">ong</font></span><font color="#00FFD4">talk to me</font> 02:45, 5 December 2007 (UTC)<!-- Template:Db-bio-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom -->

Anonymous user from the help desk?

You created an account? Leebo T/C 21:52, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I wanted to mention, now that you have an account you can create articles and redirects without going to the help desk or articles for creation! Leebo T/C 21:54, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your edits to Bryan Fury:

Your recent edit to Bryan Fury (diff) was reverted by an automated bot. The edit was identified as adding either test edits, vandalism, or link spam to the page or having an inappropriate edit summary. If you want to experiment, please use the preview button while editing or consider using the sandbox. If this revert was in error, please contact the bot operator. If you made an edit that removed a large amount of content, try doing smaller edits instead. Thanks! // VoABot II 01:22, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. I couldn't help myself. It looked so hideous, and I was worried someone might imagine bad things in their heads. Thank you, anyway, VoABot II!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Kathryn Feller, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1336879. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 18:03, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, so I got rid of the IMDB link. You're not mad, right? Coren, I wasn't violating anything on purpose!

AfD Nomination: Ying Wang (actress)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Ying Wang (actress) meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ying Wang (actress). Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. --Philip Laurence 11:17, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page

I want to point out that it's probably not a good idea to advertise your age, full name, and location if you are under 18. If might be a good idea for you to remove at least your age and full name. I could delete your page and restore it without the information so that it can't be found in the history. Do you want me to do that? Leebo T/C 22:54, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not delete it completely, just remove your personal information. Everything else would be restored, and then someone else couldn't look through your history to find the personal info. Leebo T/C 23:01, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Alrighty. It's better to be on the safe side. Personal information on the Internet can be dangerous. Leebo T/C 23:05, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on ???, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how ??? is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template hangon underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:??? saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please feel free to use deletion review, but do not continue to repost the article if it is deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. I need help! My article, Moeko Matsushita is up for deletion, and I have only just started it! Wikipedians all over wikipedia, please help me save it from deletion. Kitty53 02:59, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Try putting the template holdon, then, convince them why you don't want it deleted. There. Goodshoped35110s 03:10, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If the following advice did not help you, please reply here, and I will send someone here to help you.
Hi Kitty. I placed an underconstruction tag on this article for you. Another user had already removed the speedy deletion recommendation. Please see the article's talk page for some recommendations I'll be writing for you. Into The Fray T/C 03:19, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
We had a similar episode on the Help desk with the Tamao Satou article. See the discussion at:
My advice to you:
 • Create an account on DramaWiki and copy your Moeko Matsushita article there (see Tamao Sato's article there). Do this now, so regardless of the outcome on Wikipedia, your article will still be (relatively) safe somewhere. You can develop the article further on DramaWiki with less risk of deletion than on Wikipedia. Wikipedia has strict requirements for articles, and many other wikis are more lenient about articles in their area of topical specialization. A wiki such as DramaWiki wants more articles whereas Wikipedia likes to delete thousands of articles.
 • Ask User:Kappa to help you with your article (who also started the Tamao Satou article and saved it from deletion). Special:Contributions/Kappa shows many edits to articles relating to Japan.
If you have any further questions, please ask them on the Help desk where dozens of volunteers can help at any time. --Teratornis 03:20, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Check this out on my articles to model after your articles! Goodshoped35110s 03:26, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've added you a usersubpage, User:Kitty53/Moeko_Matsushita, so that you can make changes there and on the article without fear that you might lose your work. Jac roeBlank 03:29, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like Wiki.ThePPN is similar to DramaWiki - both run the same MediaWiki software that powers Wikipedia, but with less zeal to delete articles in their topics of interest. While I encourage you to keep trying to write articles that are up to Wikipedia's requirements (see: WP:NPOV, WP:NOTABLE, WP:RS, and WP:EIW), you may find editing on one of the "enthusiast" wikis to be less stressful. --Teratornis 03:49, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Your Question

When you are done, you should remove the tag, yes. You might also consider looking for someone who's more familiar with Japanese music (ideally someone who can read Japanese) than I am. I'm far from familiar and most of the articles I could find were in Japanese. Perhaps contacting User:Kappa as Teratornis suggested would be a good idea. You appear to have contacted User:Agüeybaná mistakenly. In the interest of keeping things consistent, let's keep our discussion here, as you have posted requests for help in quite a few places and that means that a lot of folks might be watching this. Into The Fray T/C 04:00, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disregard that. I see why you made the mistake; there's user link at the top of his page that took you to Agüeybaná's talk. In any event, I've left a note for him asking him to look at the discussion here as well as the article and see if he'll be willing to help. Good luck to you. Into The Fray T/C 04:08, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I fixed up the article a bit, and left a note on the talk page. On another note, do you really need to create all those redirects? They don't really serve any purpose. Just something to think about. GlassCobra 07:14, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. By the way, you might consider reading up on how to group userboxes, especially the tabling part, so that your user page isn't so messy. Happy editing! GlassCobra 17:30, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, okay then. :) GlassCobra (Review) 00:56, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Having trouble

helpme I'm having trouble finding very many citations for the Nicky Wu article, and I only found one. I'm just trying to verify the article the best I can.

Hey, Kitty53. I'm not much of a reference person, but if I were you I would try the reference desk. *Cremepuff222* 21:06, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you absolutely have to, use some sources in Chinese. English is preferred, but if another language is all you can find, that'll have to do. Hersfold (t/a/c) 21:08, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects

Hey, just wanted to tell you that I've put up some of your many redirects up for discussion at WP:RFD. No offense, of course, but I just think that some of them are kind of unrealistic. I've put up the following ones for discussion:

Feel free to go over and add your input! GlassCobra (Review) 23:17, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but you create quite a lot of redirects that we simply don't need. Of course, it's up to the community to decide, but that's how I feel, at least. I apologize if I've caused any offense. GlassCobra (Review) 23:25, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well like I said, you're more than welcome to go over to WP:RFD and give your reasoning for keeping them. By the way, when you post on my talk page, you don't have to make a new section every time. If it's about the same topic, you can just tack your comment onto the original one, like I'm doing here. I didn't delete your comment, I simply moved it up to join with your first one. GlassCobra (Review) 23:39, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

At WP:RFD#Closing notes, it says that discussions should remain open for about a week. GlassCobra 22:13, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Categories in redirects

Please stop placing unneeded trivial cats in redirects, as you did here and here. Read WP:CAT-R, and pay close attention to this section where it provides instances when redirects should/can be categorized. Thank you, Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 00:45, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's fine, just make sure that the most appropiate ones are placed. For example, if there was a Category:Cyborg 009 characters, it may be added to each character redirect per the guideline. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 01:15, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What would you like to know? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 02:17, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please tell me what you want assistance with. Also we're on the exact same topic so you don't have to create a new header every time you reply. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 02:23, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated List of Cyborg 009 characters (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) for discussion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you. Closedmouth 14:29, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: RFD Redirects

Hey Kitty, I'm sorry if I offended you by putting your redirects up for discussion; however, I felt that many of them didn't really serve any purpose and were merely taking up space. To be honest, I can't say that I'm really surprised that most of them did end up being deleted. Again, I didn't do any of this as a personal attack on you. Hope we can still be friends. GlassCobra 20:28, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, good to know. By the way, I think I've mentioned this to you before, but you don't have to create a new section every time you write on someone's talk page. If it's about the same topic, you can go ahead and respond in the same section. Just indent your comments by putting a colon in front of them. :) GlassCobra 01:16, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, you can't put a protected tag on an article unless you're an admin. Corvus cornix 18:49, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, no, I didn't think your edit was vandalism, I'm sorry if it came across that way. We've just had a lot of problems with his birthdate for quite some time now, and nobody has been able to find a reliable soruce for it. Corvus cornix 21:59, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Gullible

A tag has been placed on Gullible requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Fair use rationale for Image:Squid.GIF

Image:Squid.GIF is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
