::Hi {{ping|Unexpectedlydian}}.
::Pretty much anytime real life history is mentioned, for example: "Morpurgo has said that inspiration for the plot of Private Peaceful came from the story of Sergeant John Thomas Wall, who was executed for desertion on 6 September '''2017'''." I suggest you review the text yourself as this is too complex for me. [[User:Great Mercian|Great Mercian]] ([[User talk:Great Mercian|talk]]) 21:02, 19 November 2022 (UTC)

An unexpectedly Lydian funeral anthem

Jimmy Macmillan's anthem Who shall separate us?, heard at the Abbey yesterday, is ostensibly in E major but all the A's on the first stanza are unexpectedly sharpened. So of course I thought of you. David Brooks (talk) 19:13, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A great example of an unexpected lydian! And a great piece. I'm sure it will be featuring in the repertoires of choirs for years to come! Unexpectedlydian♯4talk 21:10, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
