*Not to pile on, but I'm the one that raised the point at ANI, not to spank you, but to get clarity on policy. But yes, any time an edit will not make a noticeable, visual difference in the article, you should not make it. Cluttering up histories with no benefit to the reader is looked down upon. Why ?
What was the benefit of making this edit, instead of adding a reference to an article with unsourced statements. How many of your edits today would you describe as constructive and how many would you describe as a complete waste of time and which do nothing but inflate your edit count ?
