Sion James (born December 4, 2002) is an American college basketball player for the Duke Blue Devils of the Atlantic Coast Conference. He previously played for the Tulane Green Wave.

Early life and high school

James grew up in Sugar Hill, Georgia and attended Lanier High School.[1] He averaged 14.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game as a junior.[2] James committed to play college basketball at Tulane.[3]

College career

James began his college career at Tulane.[4] He became a starter early into his freshman year.[5] James averaged 5.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per game on the season.[6] He averaged 9.7 points, 3.4 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game as a junior and also won the American Athletic Conference (AAC) sportsmanship award.[7] He averaged 14 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.6 steals per game during his senior season and again won the AAC sportsmanship award.[8] After the season, James entered the NCAA transfer portal.[9]

James transferred to Duke.[10]
