Montgomery Township is one of thirteen townships in Owen County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,203 (down from 1,304 at 2010[1]) and it contained 562 housing units.[2]

History

Montgomery Township was founded in 1819.[3]

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 23.55 square miles (61.0 km2), of which 23.46 square miles (60.8 km2) (or 99.62%) is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 km2) (or 0.38%) is water.[1]
