Image of Mercedes Negron Munoz. Mercedes Negrón Muñoz a.k.a. "Clara Lair" (March 8, 1895 – August 26, 1973), was a Puerto Rican poet and essayist who was considered one of the preeminent feminist and postmodernist female Hispanic writers of the 20th century.

"El Imparcial" could not have renewed it's copyright which expired. Therefore, since Puerto Rico fell under US copyright in 1936 as well as today, this would make the Mercedes Negron Munoz image public domain. Claimed as fair use regardless.
