Description |
A heavily congested Toronto Bypass facing west from Keele Street on March 21, 1958. Although when it opened in 1952, the capacity of 50,000 cars per day was thought of as excessive, it would take only a few short years for traffic patterns to shift and the city to begin swallowing the farmland through which the highway passed. |
