Sepala Adikaram or Sepala Ilangakon was a Prime Minister or Adigar of the Kotte Kingdom. He was a Military Commander as mentioned in the Mahawansa under King Vijayabahu VI who was later elevated to the post of Adikaram by King Bhuvanekabahu VII in 1521. He is often referred to as Ilangakon Maha Mudaiyanase or Ilangakon Mudali or Sepala Adikaram in local records and as De Zaa Ilangakon Modaliyar in Portuguese records. Among other Ministers and Cheiftains who served the Kotte Royal Court were Samarakone Mudali who was the father of Samarakone Rala aka Don Diaz Fernandez Samarakon Mudalyar (became the first Chief Native Headman under the Portuguese after the Kingdom of Kotte was gifted to the King of Portugal by the King of Kotte who baptised himself as King Don Juan Dharmapala, Edirille Ralahami father of Domingus Corea, Alagakkone Mudali (uncle of Alagakkonara Adikaram), Bandaragama Wickramasinghe Mudali, Payagala Wijeyekone Mudali, Wijeyasiriwardene Alahakone Mudali, Wijeyeratne Siriwardene Mudali, Jayatilleke Wijeyesekere Mudali, Warawatte Bandaranayake Mudali, Halatota Jaywardene Mudali, Weligama Amaradivakara Mudali, Kodagoda Dissanayake Mudali, Benthara Goonetilleke Mudali and many more most of whose families got baptised themselves when the Kotte Kingdom was subjected to the rule of the Portuguese.

He was married to the daughter of King Vijayabahu VII and sister of King Bhuvanekabahu VII, King Mayadunne and King Raigam Bandara and had three children. A son named Sriendra Ilangakon Mudali who has been referred to as Don Ilangakon Modaliyar but later aborted the Church and rejoined the Buddhist faith is the ancestor from whom the Ilangakoon family descends. The other two children included two daughters named Dona Ana de Zaa Ilangakon who got married to a Bandaranayake family in Ruhuna (not the Dias Bandaranaike family) and another daughter named Dona Marie Ilangakon who got married to a son of Amarasekere Attanayake Bethme Mohattala. Their only daughter Dona Catherine Amarasekere Attanayake Lama Etani got married to her first cousin, the son of Sriendera Ilangakon Mudali, Menikhami Ilangakon.
