Christine Caldwell Ames is a historian and associate professor of history at the University of South Carolina. She is the author of several books and articles about the history of Christianity, heresy and the Inquisition, and interreligious relations.[1]
She has written two books focused on Middle Ages' religious repression: Medieval Heresies - Christianity, Judaism, and Islam (2015) and Righteous Persecution: Inquisition, Dominicans, and Christianity in the Middle Ages (2009). Her articles have also been published in periodics like American Historical Review, Heresis, History Compass, and Comitatus.[1]
