Keep orretarget to Freedom fries. The terms "Freedom bread', "Freedom toast", and "Freedom fries" were commonly used in US restaurants post-9/11 as replacements for "French bread", "French toast", and "French fries", respectively, to show dissatisfaction with the lack of French support for the War in Afghanistan. This is similar to the World War II-era replacements "Liberty cabbage", "Liberty sandwich", and "Liberty steak" for "sauerkraut", "hamburger", and "Hamburg steak", respectively, or to the currently ongoing controversy (and redirect discussion) over caffè "americano" and its replacement "Canadiano". When a new redirect was created in 2020, it was to a different target, List, which was then a disambiguation page, and is now a substantive article on the concept of a list. - Yes, they are supposed to be to 1-androstenediol. They're chemical synonyms. Apparently I made them directed to hormone 10 years ago, not sure why. Maybe mistake. Have updated the targets. Thanks. – AlyInWikiWonderland (talk, contribs) 04:22, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
- Weak delete. As far as I can tell this name has been used once in web searchable literature: this 1957 paper. Otherwise it isn't listed as a synonym at PubChem or DrugBank. I don't think this can be listed as a valid synonym at 1-androstenediol and can be deleted for that.
