But if an article has a promotional or unneutral tone, for instance, you need to reword the article to ensure it is as neutrally worded, with no positive/negative-loaded phrases/words. Thank you Ferian. You are correct. I missed Dr Chawla's relevance to the success of the hospital. Please will you comment on these sentences?

That's certainly better, although I don't think it's necessary to effectively say "His surgeon was X and it was him who established the hospital as a centre of excellence" - it kinda feels like a segue into focusing on the surgeon. You could say he established the hospital as a centre of excellence earlier on. Do you also have reliable sources to prove the content you're adding? Thanks again for your help. This context may be useful:

The Eye Pavilion is the subject of the Wikipedia article but person who has done most to advance its status and defend it publicly against government is Dr Chawla. Gordon Brown, former Prime Minister. is mentioned in the article because of his attachment to the hospital which was the result of Dr Chawla's care of Brown's eye condition. Chawla was Director of the hospital for the decade 2000-2010 and in later years the strongest public advocate for the maintenance of the Eye Pavilion as a centre of excellence.

My intention is to insert what is missing: the Directorship of its most distinguished surgeon and teacher, Dr Chawla.

Following your advice, I now see that my sentences should be earlier. After "October 1969" I suggest this:

"Dr Hector Bryson Chawla OBE, FRCS (Edin), FRCOphth, was appointed Director of the Eye Pavilion in 2000. During his ten-year tenure, he developed the hospital as a centre of excellence through his research and writing on the retina, his teaching and his skill as an ophthalmic surgeon."

And then replacing the existing text that follows

"Brown had received treatment there from Dr Chawla in 1971 after suffering a detached retina of his right eye during a game of tennis."

The latter is verified by Brown in his autobiography and in an article for Labour List on 30 October 2017.

The current Director of the Eye Pavilion Dr Singh, verifies Chawla's status and reputation. The Pavilion will place a plaque this year to acknowledge his contribution. Jamesboyle1 (talk) 14:19, 14 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ferien,

I added Bill Finger's photo to the table under the Golden Age section of the DC Comics entry. I used the same file that is on his personal entry, just as had been done with the other six people in the table. The photo was removed about an hour later. Can you hep me understand why?
