I propose to merge Hinduism in Brunei here. Hinduism in Brunei is not influential (few thousands of followers, just few hundreds of them citizens or permanent residents). I did not find any solid source that deals with Hinduism in Brunei in any detail, usually it is discussed together with "other" religions as a group. The Religion in Brunei is short, and can easily accommodate short section on Hinduism (and other minor religions). Викидим (talk) 01:40, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple merge proposals

Deal colleague @Qalb alasid: You have added multiple merge proposal WP:hatnotes to the article. However, they do not point to an actual merge discussion, as required by WP:MERGEINIT. Please open the discussion on this (talk) page with your arguments for merging and modify the hatnotes to point to it. For the avoidance of doubt, I will be opposed to these merges: for example, Islam in Brunei is a quite large article that would be hard to merge here. Instead, I would suggests adding WP:sections to this article on each of the major Brunei religions, copying some text form the corresponding articles (paying attention to the WP:COPYWITHIN attribution requirements), and adding {{main}} notes to these sections pointing back to the original articles. Support for both merges - for my merger proposal for Christianity and Buddhism into this article - it is mainly based on the length of the content. Like Викидим has pointed out, the Islam in Brunei article is quite large and could be mentioned here and linked to the main article. Qalb alasid (talk) 15:11, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
These have a bit more content than the Hindu article did, so a merge is possible, but there is more of case for a standalone page for each. The Islam article should be summarised here per WP:SUMMARYSTYLE, but not merged. CMD (talk) 09:10, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
