Talk:Ottoman Army (1861–1922)

This page is an incorrect page

The Janissary Corps was abolished in 1826, and the Asakir-i Mansure-i Muhammediye Army was established in its place. The name of this army was changed in 1843 but the army was still the same. The empire continued with this army until 1922. Turkish Military Academy, which still exists in present-day Türkiye, was established in 1834. The Ottoman Empire did not establish a new army in 1861. The same army continued institutionally between 1826 and 1922. Therefore, the title is incorrect. I believe this page should be merged with the Asakir-i Mansure-i Muhammediye page. There is no reason to have two separate pages. Capodeturkiye (talk) 21:43, 1 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
