The MCG isn't a stadium

Hey can you edit it so it says arena or oval instead of stadium the MCG can't be a stadium as it isn;t ine — Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.50.250.155 (talk) 06:16, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I know what you mean, but Wikipedia tends to use language the way Americans use it. The stadium article says "A stadium...is a place or venue for (mostly) outdoor sports, concerts, or other events and consists of a field or stage either partly or completely surrounded by a tiered structure designed to allow spectators to stand or sit and view the event." That's a very accurate description of the G. HiLo48 (talk) 06:53, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

mentions of former names of ground

the mcg was regulary called the melbourne football ground in the past, what would be the appropriate way to acknowledge this?

I'm not sure those links are enough evidence that it was REGULARLY called the melbourne football ground. HiLo48 (talk) 07:48, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
