Talk:Lag (video games)

What games are synchronous and what aren't?

Actually what games are synchronous and what are asychronous? I played Quake & Quake2 for long time, was always HPB and never blamed because of being HPB.

Half-life and co

I've been playing half-life and many of its mods (including beta cs, tfc, ns, sven-co, etc) and I have seen these terms pass by. Not frequently of course, but people use them.

"Gaming" section

The "Gaming" section presented almost no information which is not mentioned somewhere else in the article, and despite its title it did not actually mention gaming. I have removed it.

Merge from Input lag

Input lag is all about video games and discusses lag beyond that associates with input so overlaps this article completely and should be merged here. ~Kvng (talk) 15:47, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I came across a free online Keyboard Tester tool that allows users to measure input lag, key response time, and scan rate directly in their browser. Since this article discusses input lag and related factors affecting user experience, this tool might serve as a practical resource for readers who want to test latency on their own devices.

Would it be appropriate to include this under the External links section for informational purposes?

I wanted to check here first to ensure it aligns with Wikipedia’s guidelines before suggesting any addition.

Thank you for your time and feedback. Mughal Hayan1 (talk) 18:07, 2 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
