Talk:John le Carré

Last Name Usage

Throughout the article there is inconsistent usage of both Cornwell and le Carré. Fruitjars (talk) 22:41, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation of le Carré

I have noticed Gary Oldman pronouncing his name /ləˈkɑːreɪ/ rather than /ləˈkæreɪ/ as per the article. I had always assumed it was /ləˈkæreɪ/ but now I'm not sure. Does anyone know how to find out the truth? 89.114.78.145 (talk) 07:19, 22 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Comic

Dark Horse has Recently Published the First Issue of a John le Carré Work called "John le Carré's The Circus: Losing Control." Whether y'all feel fit to address that here or not is up to you guys. Never read le Carre's Work, so yeah. (Will Read This, though! LOL) Here's the Dark Horse Page for it: https://www.darkhorse.com/comics/3015-531/john-le-carres-the-circus-losing-control-1/ Here's a review from a Comics Blog: https://aiptcomics.com/2025/11/18/john-le-carres-the-circus-losing-control-1-review/ ~2025-36120-45 (talk) 03:41, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure where this would go, as it's not by Le Carré. If there was a page about the Circus it could go there, but there isn't. Also, Nick Harkaway's Le Carré continuation novel, which is more closely related to Le Carré, being written by his son and reusing his characters, isn't mentioned.
This comic is only very loosely connected to Le Carré. It's just using his name as a marketing ploy really, so the most obvious place for it is on the page for Matt Kindt as he's the author, then it could link to this page saying something like, 'based on the work of John Le Carré'. I've added it to the Matt Kindt page. Shimbo (talk) 10:03, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
