Hello. After Senator Dave McCormick succeeded former Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania on January 3rd 2025, he became the junior senator from Pennsylvania. This now makes John Fetterman the senior United States senator from Pennsylvania, but he is still marked as junior. This is my suggestion for update, thank you! 198.140.183.19 (talk) 22:10, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please add, in regard to the Second inauguration of Donald Trump, the (quick) reaction of several news outlets:

  • "Donald Trump inauguration: John Fetterman shows up in shorts and hoodie despite -6C weather"
  • "Sen. John Fetterman Wears Shorts and Sneakers to Trump's Inauguration and Sits in the Front Row"
  • "Sen. John Fetterman arrives in a hoodie and shorts to Trump’s inauguration"

Edit request on verbiage about Bob Casey

Fetterman didn’t “defeat” Bob Casey, in the first section second paragraph. Casey lost his race therefore Fetterman became the senior senator. The way it’s currently written is misleading. 96.227.106.32 (talk) 01:42, 29 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request to add: "Senator John Fetterman has recently come under increased scrutiny due to concerns about his health, absenteeism, and interactions with colleagues and staff. Since taking office in 2023, Fetterman has missed a significant number of Senate votes, ranking among the highest in absenteeism . Reports have highlighted instances of erratic behavior, including a notable outburst during a meeting with teachers union officials that left a staffer in tears. These incidents have raised questions about his capacity to fulfill senatorial duties, especially in light of his past health challenges, including a stroke in 2022 and subsequent treatment for clinical depression in 2023 . Fetterman's political stance has also shifted, with increased support for centrist policies and cooperation with pro-Trump factions, leading to criticism from former progressive allies . Despite the controversies, Fetterman maintains that he is committed to serving his full term until 2029."
