Brahmins of Nepal are Kanyakubja Brahmins

Recently, After reading various sources on ethnography by foreign and local Nepali historians, i got to know that Brahmins of Nepal are Kanyakubja. In Book Brahmins of Nepal by Prakash Raj, Page - 34 it mentions Acharya Vanshavali which refers to migration of Brahmins from Kanyakubja to Jumla. In Book Hindu Tribes & Castes by R.V. Rusell page 107 it mentions tradition of Nepali Brahmans claiming to be Kanyakubja Brahmin. I can see other sources too which support this statement and are cited after line of Bahuns being "sub-caste" of Kanyakubja Brahmins in this article. But Bahuns are not subcaste, They are original Kanyakubja Brahmins who migrated to hills from Kannauj as per the above sources and sources in article. Bahun is just Nepali word for Brahmin. 2405:201:6006:9848:4D36:762:CD37:C8A8 (talk) 16:52, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
