Victim smearing
I am removing the reference to one of the shooting victims being a "a convicted drug-smuggler" - it is irrelevant and the implications are inappropriate Pearl2525 (talk) 14:59, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

Mangs started shooting people in Malmö in 2003, not 2009. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.255.176.26 (talk) 00:43, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

Should probably be moved
Mangs was an (attempted) serial killer and all the sourcing is biographical focused. I don't think it is really possible to write this event based with how the sources cover it. This article very badly needs to be updated. PARAKANYAA (talk) 09:41, 30 January 2025 (UTC)

2009–10 Malmö shootings → Peter Mangs – While this article is very out of date and covers this poorly, the primary topic that the sources focus on is Mangs. Mangs was a serial killer, which we cover biographically as it is not a single event type of crime (imagine trying to cover Ted Bundy as 1970s American serial killings). The better developed Swedish article is written about Mangs. The two books and all journal articles about this topic are about Mangs as a person and structure their information to that effect, we should follow their lead. The very similar Laser Man I (this is Laser Man II) has a biographically based article for much of the same reason: John Ausonius. I want to improve this but as is this article's scope excludes much of his crime spree. It was written after the initial spate of news and just never updated again. This will have to be rewritten but I volunteer to do that. PARAKANYAA (talk) 09:48, 30 January 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. ASUKITE 18:38, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
