Szlamy [ˈʂlamɨ], is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Giby, within Sejny County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland, close to the borders with Belarus and Lithuania.[3] It lies approximately 19 kilometres (12 mi) south-east of Sejny and 97 km (60 mi) north of the regional capital Białystok. It lies on the Szlamica River, which connects Lakes Szlamy and Głebokie.

From 1975-1998 the village was administratively governed by the Suwałki Voivodeship.
