
Sharon Dunn (born in Sydney, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian journalist.
Career
At the age of 21, Dunn was hired as a TV weather reporter at CJCB-TV in Sydney, Nova Scotia. She later moved to CBC Halifax where she was hired as a news anchor; four years later, she became the anchor at CBC's flagship station, CBLT in Toronto, for Newshour.
Her article about her son's scoliosis called Amazing Brace for the magazine MacLean's was well received.[1]
After being diagnosed with breast cancer, Dunn wrote a touching piece for The National Post in September, 2024 called 'I Have Breast Cancer. So What?' [2]
Dunn's husband was renowned horse breeder, John Sikura, who died in 1994.[3]
Personal life
Dunn is currently a writer living in Toronto, Ontario. She was in a much publicized relationship with Mike Harris when he was premier of Ontario.[4]
