Riyo Kawamoto (川本 梨誉, Kawamoto Riyo, born 11 June 2001) is a Japanese footballer currently playing as a forward or a winger for Shimizu S-Pulse.

Early life

Riyo was born in Shizuoka. He played youth football for Shimizu S-Pulse.

Career

Riyo made his debut for Shimizu against Urawa Red Diamonds on 6 October 2019.[1] He scored his first goal for the club against Gamba Osaka on 19 December 2020, scoring in the 49th minute.[2]

Riyo made his debut for Fagiano Okayama on 28 February 2021.[3] He scored his first goal for the club on 5 May 2021, scoring in the 27th minute.[4]

Riyo made his debut for Thespa against Vegalta Sendai on 20 August 2022.[5] He scored his first goal for the club against Tokyo Verdy on 10 September 2022, scoring in the 54th minute.[6]

International career

Riyo has caps at youth level for the Japan national team.
