Martin Helme

Maleamate amidohydrolase (EC 3.5.1.107, NicF) is an enzyme with systematic name maleamate amidohydrolase.^[1] This enzyme catalyses the chemical reaction:

maleamate + H₂O $\rightleftharpoons$ maleate + NH₃

The reaction is involved in the aerobic catabolism of nicotinic acid.
