Kurseong subdivision is a subdivision of the Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal, India. It was handed to the British Empire by the King of Sikkim in 1835.[2]

Demographics
According to the 2011 census, Hindus numbered 80,720 and formed 60.43% of the population in Kurseong subdivision. Buddhists numbered 33,687 and formed 25.12% of the population. Christians numbered 11,778 and formed 8.68% of the population. Muslims numbered 5,993 and formed 4.42% of the population. Others numbered 1,838 and formed 1.35% of the population.

Legislative Segments
As per order of the Delimitation Commission in respect of the delimitation of constituencies in West Bengal, the whole area under this subdivision is part of the Kurseong assembly constituency of West Bengal. This constituency is an assembly segment of Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency.
