Khanian (Persian: خانيان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Dizajrud-e Gharbi Rural District in the Central District of Ajab Shir County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Shishavan,[5] now a neighborhood in the city of Ajab Shir.[6]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,118 in 272 households.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 1,032 people in 298 households.[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 1,014 people in 338 households.[2]
