Julie Swierot (born 14 March 2006) is a French professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Première Ligue club Reims, on loan from Lyon.
Early life
Swierot was born on 14 March 2006 in Tournan-en-Brie, Seine-et-Marne.[1]
Club career
Lyon
In July 2023, Swierot signed her first professional contract with Olympique Lyonnais until 2026.[2][3] She played her first professional match in December 2023 against Lille at the age of 17.[4][5]
On 1 August 2024, the club announced the contract extension of Swierot for one more season, until 30 June 2027.[6]
Reims (loan)
Swierot is on loan to Stade de Reims for the 2024/2025 season in order to progress and acquire playing time.[6][7]
International career
UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship
In 2022, Swierot took part in the French team's qualification for the 2023 U17 Women's Euro, which she won with her team.[8][9][10] She made 9 U17 appearances and scored 5 goals, all during the qualifying campaign for the 2023 U17 Women's Euro.[1]
UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship
Swierot played 15 games for the U19 national team.[1] She participated in the qualifying matches for the 2024 U19 Women's Euro. The U19 selection qualified for this Euro. The team lost to the Netherlands in the semi-final.[11][12][13][14]
