"Gettin' In the Way" is a song by American R&B/soul singer Jill Scott, released as the second single from her debut studio album Who Is Jill Scott?: Words and Sounds Vol. 1 on the Hidden Beach label. Released on October 17, 2000, the song was her first charting UK single, which peaked at number 30 on the UK Singles Chart and the top 30 of Billboard's R&B singles chart.[2]
