English: One of the two treaty's (the other known as the Melbourne treaty) John Batman brought with him to the Port Phillip area, which he claimed were signed by leaders of the Kulin Nations people on the date 6 June 1835. Batman claimed the signed treaty gave him and the Port Phillip Association (whom he was representing) permission from the Kulin Nations people's to settle the land.
