English: USS Makin Island, USPACOM, At Sea - Marines with Golf Company, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct daily morning section physical training on the flight deck of the USS Makin Island during Amphibious Squadron Marine Expeditionary Unit Integration (PMINT), off the coast of San Diego, Calif., April 9, 2014. PMINT is a two-week long pre-deployment training event focusing on the combined capabilities of the Marine Expeditionary Unit and Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), conducting amphibious operations, crisis response and limited contingency operations.
