Summary
Description | Taichung, Taiwan.
A potential donor referred for pre-donation evaluation. The scan is done by multi-detector row computed tomography. With proper post-processing, the unusual portal vein anatomy is identified. The left portal vein not only supplies left lobe, but also segment 8. With portal vein anatomic variation, the possibility of biliary variation would be high. Also, the patient is not suitable as a donor because right lobe donation would be almost impossible. |
