Summary

Description Itavia DC-9 15, c/n 45724, I-TIGI. Delivered on 29 March 1966, returned to McDonnell Douglas on January 1972. Sold to Itavia on 27 February 1972. Photograph taken at Pisa International Airport on June 1973. On 27 June 1980 the plane was accidentally shot down by an unidentified fighter jet over Ustica, island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, while flying from Bologna to Palermo.
