Deutsch: Braunschweig Ölper: der gußeiserne Obelisk erinnert an das Gefecht bei Ölper im Jahre 1809. Sein Bau wude durch Herzog Wilhelm von Braunschweig-Lüneburg angeregt, die Einweihung erfolgte am 15. Oktober 1843. Die Inschrift lautet: „HIER FOCHT HERZOG FRIEDRICH WILHELM MIT SEINER SCHAAR AM 1TEN AUGUST MDCCCIX.“
English: Ölper: The cast iron obelisk commemorating the Battle of Ölper. It's erection was suggested by William, Duke of Brunswick and it was inaugurated on October, 15 1843. The inscription reads: „Here Duke Friedrich Wilhelm fought with his troop on August, 1 1809”.
