עברית: זכר חרדון סיני בעונת הייחום, ירדן. מין זה נפוץ במדינות השוכנות לחופי ים סוף ושלוחותיו. בישראל הוא נפוץ באזורים סלעיים בנגב, בערבה ובבקעת ים המלח. שמו המדעי ניתן לו מאחר וזוהה לראשונה בחצי האי סיני. בעת הייחום צבעו של הזכר הופך כחול עז והוא נעמד על סלע בולט כדי למשוך נקבות.
