FLYYO is a Romanian airline headquartered in Bucharest, Romania,[1] formerly known as Aerro Direkt.
History
Founded in 2021 with Romanian registration, Aerro Direkt has been authorized in compliance with the EU Regulation 965/2012, granting unlimited commercial rights within the European Union. Airline was focused on operating ACMI and charter flights to leisure destinations such as Egypt, Turkey, and the UAE.
In 2023 while the airline continued to retain its original registration and certifications as Aerro Direkt S.R.L., it adopted FLYYO as a marketing brand. This change was made after airline being acquired by Mayberg family ( related with Ukraine International Airlines ). This acquisition allowed company to modernize aircraft fleet, and to adopt cutting-edge business strategies.
On April 5th, 2024, FLYYO embarked on charter and ACMI operations with the maiden flight of Airbus A320-200, leased from Air Lease Corporation.[5][1]
In January 2025 FLYYO received United Kingdom Third Country Operator (TCO) Approval certification granted by the UK Civil Aviation Authority, that ensures that airline meets UK airspace's international safety, compliance, and operational reliability standards.[6]
In February 2025 FLYYO signed a yearly charter contract with several leading Israeli tour operators, launching flights from Tel Aviv (TLV) to 26 destinations across Europe.[3]
