Vijay Solanki (born 23 November 1966) is an Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has served in various capacities within the party organization in Delhi.
Career
Solanki previously served as a municipal councillor from the Hastsal ward in Delhi, where he was also a member of the Standing Committee and Education Committee.[1]
He was district president of BJP Najafgarh District from 2020 to 2023.[2]
In March 2025, he was appointed as the co-election officer for overseeing the BJP’s organizational restructuring process in Delhi.[3][4]
On March 15, 2025, in recognition of his organizational experience and dedication to the party, Vijay Solanki was appointed as the co-election officer for Delhi BJP. In this role, he is tasked with overseeing the organizational restructuring process of the Delhi BJP, known as ‘Sangathan Parv,’ scheduled to take place in March 2025. This appointment came approximately a month after the BJP’s victory in the Delhi Assembly elections.[5][6]
Family
In 2012, when the Hastsal seat was reserved for women candidates, Solanki’s wife, Shashi Prabha, contested and won the election. She later served as the Deputy Mayor of Delhi from April 1, 2016, to April 1, 2017.[7]
