Riva Arora (born 1 February 2010) is an Indian actress, model, and social media influencer known for her work primarily in Hindi films and television.[citation needed] She began her career as a child actress at the age of one and a half with her debut in the film Rockstar (2011), starring Ranbir Kapoor. Arora gained wider recognition for her roles in films such as Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019), Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020), and Mom (2017), where she acted alongside the late Sridevi. Beyond acting, she has established herself as a prominent social media personality, amassing millions of followers on platforms like Instagram and YouTube.[1]

Riva Arora was born on 1 February 2010 in Delhi, India, though her exact age has been a subject of public debate.[2] Raised in Delhi, she belongs to a family where her mother, Nisha Arora, is an advocate who manages her career and finances. Her father passed away when she was young due to a leg infection, an event she has shared in a heartfelt YouTube video on Father's Day 2021.[3] She has a sister named Muskan Arora.[citation needed]

Early career and film debut (2011–2018)

Arora made her acting debut in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar (2011) at the age of one and a half, playing a minor role.[citation needed] Following this, she transitioned into modelling, appearing in numerous television commercials for brands like Flipkart, LG, and Biba clothing.[citation needed] Her early film career continued with roles in Mom (2017) and Haseena Parkar (2017).

Breakthrough and recognition (2019–present)

Arora’s breakthrough came with her role as Suhani Kashyap in Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019).[4] She followed this with a portrayal of the young Gunjan in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020).[citation needed]

Beyond films, Arora has expanded her presence in the digital space. She runs a YouTube channel and has over 11 million Instagram followers as of March 2025.[1] In 2022, she faced controversy for appearing in a romantic music video with Karan Kundrra, which sparked debates about her age.[5]

Personal life

Arora resides in Delhi with her family.[citation needed] In 2023, her mother gifted her a black Audi Q3 worth ₹44 lakh to celebrate reaching 10 million Instagram followers.[6]
