Bijay J Anand (born 26 March 1970) is an Indian actor, yoga practitioner, and Kundalini Yoga teacher. He played his roles in Bollywood films, television series, and web series. Anand played a role in the film Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha.[1] Apart from acting, he is also an advocate for yoga and holistic wellness.[2]
Early Life and Career
Anand began his acting career in the mid-1990s. He made his film debut with Yash and appeared in Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, where he played Kajol’s fiancé. After this, he paused his acting career and pursued yoga and spiritual practice.[3]
Anand returned to the entertainment industry in the late 2010s, appearing in films such as Ye Re Ye Re Paisa,[4] Smile Please,[5] and Fastey Fasaatey. He also played roles in the war drama Shershaah and the horror-thriller Dybbuk. In 2022, he appeared in Adipurush[6] and IB71, followed by Crakkk[7] and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in 2023.[8]
Yoga and Spirituality
Anand later pursued an interest in yoga and wellness, becoming a Kundalini Yoga teacher, and He has taught Kundalini Yoga in different programs.[9] He has spoken about the role of yoga in managing stress and maintaining emotional balance.[10] Anand has also participated in discussions on health and well-being, highlighting meditation and holistic practices.[11]
