Bidupur is a community development block in the Vaishali district in the Indian state of Bihar.[3] Bidupur Bazar is a town in Bidupur Block. Bidupur is one of the 16 blocks of Vaishali district.[4] There are total 24 Gram Panchayats in bidupur block[5] And There are 116 villages in Bidupur block.[6] Kacchi dargah-Bidupur bridge will become the largest bridge of India in 2025.[7] Bidupur is fastest developing after Hajipur in vaishali.

History

The Word Viddutpur is mispronounced by Britishers as Bidupur . Viddut means electricity . Here now we call it Bidupur.

Bidupur is a place of historical importance. One of Gautam Buddha's disciple Anand has got parinirvana here. There is a bhinda in Madhurapur where many things of ancient history have been found. Many early paintings, scriptures, and stones are there.[8] Every year after Durga Puja a mela and kirtan are organised to remember Anand.
