Altanshiree (Mongolian: Алтанширээ, ᠠᠯᠲᠠᠨᠰᠢᠷᠡᠭᠡ) is a sum (district) of Dornogovi Province in southeastern Mongolia. In 2018, they began their construction for their first oil refinery.[1]

Geography

The district has a total area of 7,200 km2.[2]

Administrative divisions

The district is divided into four bags, which are:[3]

  • Chuluun gishger
  • Khayaa
  • Toig
  • Zaraa

Education

The district has a school and kindergarten. The gross enrolment ratio for primary school is 79.6%.[2]
