Question from Informer1101 on Boise, Idaho (05:09, 2 February 2025)
Can you please help me update the info for my city like the city of Boise has?
I’m simply trying to add Mayor Trevor Schiefelbein listed as mayor for the city of Crouch Idaho.
Thank you! --Informer1101 (talk) 05:09, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
- Informer1101, it seems he listed listed as the mayor in the article already, in the infobox. Zoozaz1 (talk) 13:41, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
Question from Dinner Ideas Hub (22:51, 4 February 2025)
Hi Zoozaz1,
I hope this message finds you well! I trust you're doing great.
I’m reaching out because I’d love to tap into your expertise. Could you please guide me on how to create an informative article about my blog, which focuses on dinner recipes? My goal is to write something that resonates with readers and showcases the unique value my blog offers.
If you have any tips or steps to follow—such as creating an outline, or making it more reader-friendly—I would greatly appreciate your advice.
Thank you so much for your time and support. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards, Sarah co-founder of www.dinnerideashub.com --Dinner Ideas Hub (talk) 22:51, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
- Dinner Ideas Hub, unfortunately, it is unlikely that your blog qualifies for an article on Wikipedia - refer to WP:GNG for what it takes to qualify. Zoozaz1 (talk) 00:44, 6 February 2025 (UTC)

Question from EM 1NH3 (09:07, 6 February 2025)
Hi Zoozaz! I'm currently wanting to edit the page for a video game I play ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torn_(2003_video_game) ). There is a source that is linked incorrectly so they assumed the page to be dead, and the archive source is also linked incorrectly. The original source is still available, but I am scared to edit it incorrectly lol
The reference link posted by the person is: [1]
When it should/can link directly to just https://forums.escapistmagazine.com/threads/text-based-online-game-earns-21-year-old-1-000-000.173850/ Do I just delete everything from url-status = dead and then put in the proper link?? --EM 1NH3 (talk) 09:07, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
- EM 1NH3, I would suggest changing url-status to live, replacing the URL with the correct URL, and replacing the archive-URL with the correct archive URL as well. Zoozaz1 (talk) 20:28, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the reply yesterday! I implemented as suggested and it worked.
- Today, I've started reviewing the pages for the American Community Schools, and they generally seem to be problematic. The page for American Community Schools is actually the page for the American Community School of Athens. It is also outdated. I want to update it, but it also has bigger issues.
- I posted a talk topic under there, though there is also another one that is several years old and unaddressed.
- I would appreciate any insight and advice on it, since I have zero clue how that would be implemented, what the procedure/prerequisites are to do so, and if it's actually the best course of action. EM 1NH3 (talk) 09:52, 7 February 2025 (UTC)
- EM 1NH3, feel free to WP:Be bold and do it yourself, you can rename the current article by pressing "move" under the "page" dropdown menu at the top right of the article, and thereafter edit the article American Community Schools as appropriate by replacing the redirect to the re-named article (just make sure you include reliable sources on the new article/list). Question from LarryLoveFromupAbove (18:07, 11 February 2025)
How do I write my life history --LarryLoveFromupAbove (talk) 18:07, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- LarryLoveFromupAbove, Unless you are WP:Notable, which requires significant coverage of you in multiple reliable, independent secondary sources, unfortunately your life history won't qualify for a Wikipedia article; if you are notable, I would suggest looking at biographies of similar figures on Wikipedia for inspiration. Question from Menarie221 (09:26, 17 February 2025)
Hi, sir.
There is a film page called "Love You Hamesha". I looked at the YouTube link per information in that page, but the movie title is different (it's shown to be "Hum Tum Something Something") although other information e.g. director, composer, etc. are same. Should I change the page title or just add this information in the page or leave as it is? I will keep looking for information about this work.
Thank you. --Menarie221 (talk) 09:26, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
- Menarie221, I don't think you should, this website says that it was originally releaased with the title Love You Hamesha. https://myswar.co/album/love-you-hamesha-1999. Zoozaz1 (talk) 12:12, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, sir.
- Also in any other websites including IMDB, the title is "Love You Hamesha". But I was interested because in its Wiki page, the information based on the reference no. 5 is a YouTube link to a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fyHn3t6EZI).
- In the opening credits, all information are same except the title "Hum Tum Something Something". So I just wanted to you to see that.
- I will not change the title, sir. Thank you for your response. Menarie221 (talk) 03:59, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
Question from GeeBeeSTL (14:59, 20 February 2025)
Hi! Just getting started as an editor. Wondering what the parenthetical numbers are on after my edits on my contributions page. Most are green, which I assume means positive, but a few are red. Is that bad? Should I be learning a lesson from those figures in terms of best practices? Thanks in advance! --GeeBeeSTL (talk) 14:59, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
- GeeBeeSTL, hello! No need to pay attention to those, those just track how much content is added/removed from the page. There's no relation between that and the quality of the edits. Zoozaz1 (talk) 15:40, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. Super helpful.
- Another question: I wanted to create an entry on a noted Substack author. He's someone I know a little . I'm not getting paid to do so, and I told him I would do it and he's okay. I know that living people are treated differently, and also that the right to create an entry requires a achieving a certain threshold of participation. What do I need to know? GeeBeeSTL (talk) 19:28, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- GeeBeeSTL, you can submit articles for review through WP:AFC. The two most important policies to look through are WP:BLP, which provides guidelines for articles on living persons, and WP:NBASIC, where you can find the criteria which qualifies a person for an article. hello, I want to upload information about me. Is this the right place? --Janetannedavidson (talk) 13:02, 3 March 2025 (UTC)

Question from Safann (20:35, 5 March 2025)
Hello, I am trying to learn how to do all of this correctly. I recently had a page that I was working on deleted for not being transparent about my affiliation with the company. I have since disclosed my professional relationship with them on my talk page. How can I go about getting my page reinstated? --Safann (talk) 20:35, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
- Safann, see WP:Requests for undeletion, but before you do that, add the paid template on your userpage (User:Safann) as described on your talk page. Zoozaz1 (talk) 23:06, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. I tried doing that just now, but it doesn't look like the box that I see in my sandbox. Am I doing something wrong? Safann (talk) 15:32, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Safann, I've fixed it for you. Zoozaz1 (talk) 23:24, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for fixing that, @Zoozaz1 Much appreciated.
- In the link that you sent me (WP: Requests for undeletion) it says, "Do not request that pages or media deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here."
- My page was deleted under G11. How should I address this? I should note that 95% of the content that I had provided was taken from articles written externally & independently from the company. I am open to making the language more neutral if that was the issue.
- What is the best next step for me to have the page reinstated?
- Thank you. Safann (talk) 16:56, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- Safann, good job on paying close attention to our policies - I hadn't noticed that it was deleted under G11. In that case, I would personally suggest just re-writing it yourself. Just to be clear, make sure that it's all written by yourself - I assume you mean the facts, not the wording/sentences, were taken from external sources.
- As you probably know from the deletion, I would focus on making the language much more neutral. It would be a good idea to model the article on a somewhat similar article, as long as that article has neutral language. If you really want to have your deleted article, you could ask one of the administrators listed here: Category:Wikipedia administrators willing to provide copies of deleted articles, but as mentioned above I would personally suggest just re-starting. You can submit the article through the WP:AFC process. Zoozaz1 (talk) 14:56, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the feedback @Zoozaz1. I do indeed mean that the facts were taken from external sources. I can definitely make everything more neutral. I will rewrite and submit through the WP:AFC process. Thank you for your help! Safann (talk) 16:55, 11 March 2025 (UTC)

Question from Nekrylova (20:19, 8 March 2025)
Hello, Zoozaz1! Where can I ask to ban both User:Tintin-tintin and User:Revolynka from contributing to enwiki because this screenwriting project expriment went terribly wrong in Putin's post-Soviet Russia and instead of two children I now have only one? --Nekrylova (talk) 20:19, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- Nekrylova, I'm not sure exacltly where you can request a ban, perhaps you could try Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard. However, you will have to be more clear about the rationale for the ban - it is not clear how the situation in Russia and this failed experiment relates to why you want these accounts banned. Zoozaz1 (talk) 20:55, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- Zoozaz1, Specifically, it went wrong somewhere between Hellawes (Russian singer-songwriter) and Susan McClary (An American musicologist, with whom my daughter, a musician's daughter turned a screenwriter, exchanged letters a couple of years ago) edits involving word-for-word translation were not the best choice in that context. As you might know, Putin's administration is pressuring Ruwiki (a Wikipedia fork) to make changes that could facilitate lobbying for a ban on abortions in both Russia and China, aiming to gain greater approval from the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) (not to be confused with the Russian Olympic Committee). Higher education for women is next on the list of targets for Putin's administration, and his special forces are willing to go to extreme lengths to suppress dissent, even targeting those who believe they are acting 'for the right cause.' I don't want to lose my only surviving child (because my husband died at 39, in 1992, after fighting many years — leaving almost nothin to his family, and no support from the collapsed Soviet regime — in Afghanistan). So, please, be serious about the universal ban for both User:Tintin-tintine and User:Revolynka (my first child was 3 years older than the second one, and she's already dead — so, my second daughter tried to fill the void, unsuccessfully). She wasn't welcomed, for sure, in ruwiki, as either Tintin-tintine and Revolynka (and there's a rule banning people contributing from different accounts), and will never be. Nekrylova (talk) 21:42, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- Nekrylova, en-wiki bans will only affect en-wiki - if you want a universal block including ruwiki, you'll have to make your request at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Steward_requests/Global. I understand your reasoning, and feel free to make your case to either Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents or Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard, here on en-wiki for an en-wiki block, but just as a warning I'm not sure if you will be successful - generally blocks are only applied if requested by the user themselves or due to violating Wikipedia's policies. Zoozaz1 (talk) 22:21, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- However, if those two accounts are run by the same person, and that is not disclosed by them, that is against Wikipedia policy, and might perhaps be grounds for a block. Zoozaz1 (talk) 22:22, 8 March 2025 (UTC)

Question from CuriousMouse2 (18:09, 11 March 2025)
Hi Zoozaz - I wanted to correct something but I don't have a replacement. The Peter Attia article here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Attia has a link to his publications via ORCID. This looks official except it's the wrong Peter Attia. It's Peter M Attia from a company called Glimpse who does battery and engineering research. It's not Peter Attia podcaster and writer about longevity and lifespan. I wanted to see what research he had done. Can you advise? --CuriousMouse2 (talk) 18:09, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
- CuriousMouse2, good catch. That template sources information from Wikidata here: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q23712954#identifiers. I would suggest either deleting the ORCID info entirely through Wikidata (you can use your Wikipedia account on Wikidata) or, if you able to find his real ORCID number, replacing the current number with that.
