Red/Deleted drafts

Francis N. Watkins

Very sorry, I just saw your draft you were making alongside Francis N. Watkins. I just published the latter. Would you like to merge? --Engineerchange (talk) 16:57, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:Engineerchange. Thanks for the note and for creating an entry for him. I think the dates you have him as a legislator may be off? I'm not sure when I will have time to merge but I agree the non-overlapping info should be integrated. Take care. FloridaArmy (talk) 03:39, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: None So Blind (1916 film) (January 22)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Cambalachero was:  The comment the reviewer left was: Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
Cambalachero (talk) 02:38, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
User:Cambalachero I'm not sure what cites you are referring to but references 3 and 4 are detailed reviews with discussions of the plot, actors, and evaluations of the movie as a whole. It is a major studio film. Your statement that the "mentions" in the references are trivial is false and troubling. I suggest you take the subject to an AfD if you really think it is not notable so you can be reeducated on our criteria for films of historic importance. I thank you for reviewing drafts but your conclusions are wildly off base and need correcting. FloridaArmy (talk) 03:10, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

User:AlphaBetaGamma, as a state legislator Gerald Hendrix is considered notable per Wikipedia standards. A memorial read in the official record of the legislature is certainly a legitiamate source that goes into some detail on his life and career. Please revisit. Are you mentioning WP:NSUBPOL? ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 03:18, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
User:AlphaBetaGamma, as per your request I have cited every sentence in the body of the entry. Yes, that page states "Members of the state legislatures are presumed notable" for the United States. FloridaArmy (talk) 03:40, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Have you read this book? A good chapter on civil rights and burial politics especially in the south. The main one they focused on besides Arlington was Laurel Grove Cemetery, which is thankfully in decent shape. Will see if there's anything else we can add. Hope you're well!
