My mainspace edits occur mostly when I notice possible improvements while reading, though I sometimes seek out articles that copyediting, references, or wikilinks.[citation needed] Other times my edits are usually template-, Commons-, or Wikidata-related.
I live in the Washington metropolitan area.

notes
replace with newline
WikiEditor supports find and replace using regular expressions, but there's no way to enter a newline in the 'Replace with' field, which doesn't handle escape sequences. This is tracked at phab:T281326, though here's a workaround: replace instead with a substitution to a page that produces a newline. I use {{subst:user:wqnvlz}}
because this is one such page, by virtue of the wikitext:
<onlyinclude>
</onlyinclude>
search links for common errors
Results may contain false positives. Regular expression searches with unrestricted domain are resource-intensive and should be run infrequently.
WP:MOS pedantry
unacceptably formatted dates:

- r MM-dd-yyyy and dd-MM-yyyy
<U+002D - HYPHEN-MINUS> where <U+2013 – EN DASH, <U+2014 — EM DASH>, or <U+2212 − MINUS SIGN> may be more appropriate:[a]
- r surrounded by spaces
- r between numbers
