Dr. Santosh Kumar Suman (born 10 February 1975) is an Indian politician from Bihar. He currently serves as Minister of Information Technology, Disaster Management, and Minor water resources in the Government of Bihar and is a member of the Bihar Legislative Council from Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM).
Santosh Kumar Suman was Minister of Minor Irrigation and SC/ST Welfare in the Government of Bihar in the Seventh Nitish Kumar ministry from 16 November 2020 to 9 August 2022.
Also, he was Minister of SC/ST Welfare in the Government of Bihar in the Eighth Nitish Kumar ministry from 16 August 2022 to 13 June 2023.
He is the son of former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi.[1]
Political career
In the elections in March 2023, 11 candidates were elected unopposed.[2][3] He completed Post Graduate from Political Science, College (DU) (Evening) in 1998 and cleared U.G.C. Net in 2000.[citation needed] On 13 June 2023, Suman announced his intention to resign as minister.[4]
