The Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) is an association of film producers established in 1937.[5] As a non-profit organization, it functions as a film registration body and service to address issues for producers within the industry.[citation needed] The IMPPA acts as a central organizational body for producers in the Indian film industry.[6]
Board of Directors
Office Bearers
A new administrative committee was formed following elections held on April 10, 2022. Abhay Sinha was elected as the Chairman of IMPPA in the 23-member committee.[7]
Ec Members
The IMPPA elects committee members who are allotted various roles in internal committees, which address various industry-related subjects. They may be re-elected by decision of the EC Committee.[8][9]

Cannes
77th Cannes Film Festival
The IMPPA partnered with the Confederation of Indian Industry in 2024 to feature Indian cinema at the Bharat Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival. On behalf of the IMPPA, promotion of the Bhojpuri film Sanyog at the Cannes Film Festival was done by Rajpal Yadav. The collaboration sought to highlight the diverse narratives and rich cultural heritage of Indian cinema on an international platform.[10]
The Cannes festival's Bharat Pavilion, designed by the National Institute of Design at Ahmedabad, was named The Sutradhara to reflect this year’s theme, “Create in India.” As a new establishment to Cannes Film, it is intended to serve as a platform of collaboration, networking, and support for Indian cinema.[11] This was designed to underscore India’s commitment to showcasing its cinematic heritage and fostering international collaborations. As part of the Cannes Film Festival, the NFDC collaboration with FICCI organized a special event titled Bharat Parva. The event, held at the French Riviera, began with an address by Sanjay Jaju, secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.[12][13][14]
