Moeritherium is a very early elephant (= proboscidean mammal).

From museum signage: "Complete skulls of Moeritherium are rarely found. To understand what these animals looked like, scientists create composites, or combinations of skull parts from different individuals. This cast is a composite of a cranium and jaw from two different Moeritherium specimens."
