English: Dryburgh Abbey The west wall of the refectory with rose window, viewed from the dormitory above the east cloister. The abbey, founded around 1150, was burnt by the English twice in the 14th century and again in the 16th century. The ruins stand in a beautiful location near the River Tweed.
