Description
Français : Carottes prélevées manuellement dans une ancienne lagune ou "chott" en Tunisie par l'Uni de Tunis, dans le cadre d'un cours de 3e cycle organisé par Davaud & Strasser (GE) et M'Rabet (Tunis) 1991. On observe une séquence émersive "shallowing upward" quaternaire tout à fait analogue à celles décrites par Septfontaine (1985) dans le Lias moyen (-190 millions d'années) du Haut Atlas (Maroc).
English: Cores in a quaternary lagoonal "chott" in Tunisia, showing a typical "shallowing upward" quaternary to recent sequence, from marine lagoonal (blue) to intertidal (yellow) algal mats. Black soil at the top. See Davaud, Strasser & M'Rabet (field guide 1991). Identical sequences are described by Septfontaine (1985) in the Middle Liassic of Morocco (-190 Ma).
