English: Much of Adventdalen east of Longyearbyen, Svalbard. Just beyond the left edge of the photo the valley of Adventdalen meets the fjord Adventfjorden. The main mountain in the photo is Operafjellet with Mälardalen on it's left/west side. The road in the photo is Vei 400, the only road between the port in Longyearbyen town and Gruve 7, the last remaining operating Norwegian coal mine on Svalbard. The highest mountain in the background is Skolten, where the northernmost mobile phone tower is located in extreme conditions. The flat area between road and the bottom of the photo is Isdammen, the water source for Longyearbyen.
